Sponsorship Opportunities

The home business sector accounts for a large share of the UK economy and continues to grow by almost 20pc a year. There are now more than 2.5 million home based businesses with a combined turnover in excess of £364 billion.

To this large number one must also add the growing numbers of ‘virtual businesses’ where companies operate from a network of homes plus employees of traditional organisations that do a substantial proportion (and in some cases all) of their work from home. Everyone doing business from home – or thinking about it – has an interest in home business.

The commercial value of the home business sector is very large. But there are few substantial media channels focused on this marketplace. While there are many websites offering information, advice and networking opportunities to home workers, there are very few that have a broad reach or a substantial presence. The market is fragmented, so large organisations struggle to reach the home business sector in a cost-effective manner.

The Home Business Network programme (managed by the specialist multi-media business community team responsible for the Telegraph Business Club) has been created to meet this need.

At its core is this website, launched in November 2008, which will attract a very substantial number of members thanks to email marketing.

It will quickly roll out into a similar way with regular email communications to home business professionals, business events, a monthly magazine and weekly exposure in a national broadsheet incorporating advertising from sponsors but no other parties.
