Can my home business lease a car for my teenage daughter?

I am very taken with the idea of paying my teenage children as employees of my home business (thereby reducing my tax liability and paying their monthly allowances out of untaxed income). Thanks to Home Business Network and Alan Young for flagging up that opportunity.

But it set me thinking: Rather than buying a used car for my 17-year old daughter, could I lease one and put it down as her company car? The taxable benefit of a modest first car would be well within the tax-free allowance. It seems to have the same benefits as paying a monthly salary instead of an allowance. And the (scary) insurance costs would come out of the business, rather than my taxed income.

Or am I missing something?

(Please forgive me for keeping this anonymous. We live is such a Big Brother state that I can't help but think this sort of discussion is monitored by HMRC)
